Pomaikai Cocquio

Born and raised in Hawaii on a small farm on the Waianae Coast is where I learned to work hard and be creative. When we relocated to Oregon in 2018, I sought out more opportunities to learn. Since then I continued to hone my carpentry skills as well as my metal work. This meant going back to school for wire feed, tig welding, and machining. I’ve always been drawn to challenging tasks. We grow when there is adversity and we become more creative when we are restricted. With a love to create and collaborate I continuously look for new opportunities to grow as a crafts person—always a student never accepting to settle.
